THE RULES !
registering & creating your character.
when you sign up, you have to register with your character’s first and last name. after you’ve done this, you should change your display name to your character’s full name in all lowercase letters. it looks much neater that way; just first middle last.
next, you need to start filling out your application. follow all the application instructions, and post it in a new threads titled with your character’s name; FIRST MIDDLE LAST, all CAPS. if everything’s alright with your app then a moderator will approve you and move your profile to the accepted character board.
then you post in the face claim. make sure you fill it out correctly and then move onto the group claim. lastly, you posted in the character index. be sure to follow directions and post in the correct codes for all of these, and once everything has been approved, you can start roleplaying.
Under your avatar put what you want to be called so we all know.
graphics.
when you’re creating your character and posting in the claims and everything, you’ve also got to have graphics; and avatar and a signature. your avatar must be 100x250. as for your signature, the size doesn’t matter but don’t make it too tall and don’t stretch the boards.
posting.
we are a slightly advanced RP, so there’s a minimum word count of 600 words. everyone has their off days, and we mean everyone, but you can’t be missing that by hundreds of words. and you don’t want to be making a habit of it. if you can write an even longer post, that’s great!
content; everyone has different rules about this. basically, you can talk about the sex and drugs and alcohol. but we do not want the dirty details. Just allude to the sex. or the drugs or the alcohol. you know, whatever you’re going to have into your post. and with this plot, violence is obviously going to happen but like with the sex and other things, please don’t make it too intense.
when you post a thread, there are generally two different ways they are tagged. an open thread means anyone can respond to it, and if you tag it for a specific person then obviously they’re the only ones who are supposed to be replying to it. you can title it however you want, but it’s helpful to have who it’s tagged for you in the subject. and when you’re done roleplaying in a thread, PM a staff member to have it moved into the archives. more details on that below.
characters.
there is no rule about how many characters you have. however, for every three girl characters you have, you must create one boy. the roleplay world is sadly lacking men so we’ve got to keep the ratios as even as possible. wouldn’t want to have to put a ban on the girl characters.
activity & the archives.
we have a simple rule on activity: you can’t just vanish for one month. If you let a mod know first that’s fine, we won’t delete you because everyone has times when they can’t be around. However, if you’re gone for a month without notice, we’ll move your character’s profile to the archives. if you decide to come back, all you need to do is PM a staff member.
the cool thing about this site, is if you’ve got some big cool plot going, we’ll make a sub-board for you in the archives so you can keep track of your threads. Or you can just have them moved to the main archived threads board. but if you want a sub-board just PM a staff member with the name you want, or just the names of the people in the group.
